Root treatments

Root canal treatment(Endodontics) is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the centre of a tooth. This treatment is only required when it's clear that the soft tissue at the centre of the tooth has been damaged by a bacterial infection, your dentist can check this by taking xrays of your teeth to highlight any problems .

Root canal treatment is carried out by your dentist over two or more appointments. Before you have the treatment your dentist will need to take a series of X-rays to build a clear picture of the damage. This type of treatment is usually carried out under local anaesthetic but in some cases this may not be necessary.
